FAQs

Nope! While many patients come to chiropractic care seeking relief from back, neck, or joint pain, chiropractic care is about more than just managing discomfort. It can help improve mobility, posture, and range of motion, support physical performance, and promote overall wellness. Some patients use regular chiropractic care to prevent injuries, maintain spinal health, or support an active lifestyle. Your chiropractor can help tailor a plan to meet your personal health goals, whether that’s pain relief, enhanced function, or long-term wellness.

We are currently working toward becoming in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medica, HealthPartners, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Medicare. At this time, we see patients as out-of-network. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. Any reimbursement is determined by your plan and is not guaranteed. If you do not have out-of-network benefits, or prefer not to use insurance, we also offer affordable self-pay (cash) options.

Care plans are personalized based on the cause of your pain, evidence-based guidelines, and your individual goals. Because of this, visit frequency, total number of visits, and what happens at each appointment may vary from patient to patient. Our goal is to provide clear recommendations and help you understand the reasoning behind your care plan. After completing a care plan, some patients choose to continue with maintenance care to support their ongoing health and personal goals.

Your new patient visit typically takes about 1 hour, which includes a thorough examination and, if appropriate, your first treatment. Follow-up visits usually last 15–30 minutes, depending on the type of care provided and your treatment plan.

X-rays are not required for every patient. Your chiropractor will determine whether imaging is appropriate based on your health history, examination findings, and current clinical guidelines. Recent publications in the Chiropractic & Manual Therapies journal note that current guidelines recommend deferring imaging until after a trial of care, and that X-rays are typically only indicated when there are signs of progressive or widespread neurological compromise.
